Augmentation DAY ONE!....I Can See It In Your EYES! ;)

Today was the first day of summer augmentation for grades 6 - 10. We dissected cow eyes and learned about cataracts, astigmatism, and retinopathy as well as corneal transplants. Scholars had to cut through the cornea, take out the iris, lens, and tapetum. It was an enlightening lesson for all....

eyes in tact before dissection

successful removal of the iris

eye casing and vitreous humor

successful retina detachment

beautiful tapetum
